Tourist tax for Croatia, calculated per guest and night
The tourist tax (boravišna pristojba) depends on the zone, the season and the age of every guest. LuViHub takes the guests’ details from the online check-in, calculates the tax per guest and night and shows it on the invoice and in a register — no more spreadsheets.
- Zone and season: enter the tax rates of your tourist board once, with the tax zone of your unit and the dates of the main season and the off-season. Every rate has a start date, so older stays keep the rate they had.
- Every guest counted correctly: children under 12 are exempt and children from 12 to 18 pay half, taken from the dates of birth the guests enter in the online check-in. Without a check-in, LuViHub uses the adults and children of the reservation.
- Shown on the invoice: the tourist tax contained in the price is itemised separately from the accommodation on the invoice, so the amounts add up and nothing is hidden.
- A register per stay and month: the tourist tax register lists the tax per stay and month, ready for your payment to the tourist board.
Together with eVisitor and your invoices
Guests are registered with eVisitor from the same online check-in data, and the tourist tax is calculated from it — the Croatian routine in one place. Invoices without fiscalization are included in every package, even Basic (€4 per unit and month, plus VAT — your first unit is free with Basic); invoices with fiscalization and eRačun are coming soon. Questions
Who enters the tourist tax rates?
You do — once, in the tax settings, with the start date of every rate. LuViHub keeps older rates for the stays that happened under them.
What if a guest did not fill in the online check-in?
Then LuViHub calculates from the number of adults and children of the reservation. As soon as the guest submits the check-in, the dates of birth are used.
Is the tourist tax added on top of the price?
No. LuViHub itemises the tourist tax contained in the price on the invoice; it does not add anything on top of what the guest paid.
Does it work for every zone?
You enter the rates of your zone and season yourself, so it works wherever your unit is in Croatia.
